Position Summary: The Director of Social Media position is a new and exciting role within our organization. It will be responsible for branding across the nonprofit. This person will need creative expertise and will set the vision for content creation across the nonprofit. This position allows the position to build the team as they see fit, oversees the team they create, with three direct reports – and would cultivate and manage any external media/PR agency/event consultant relationships. While this position is nonprofit focused, we encourage individuals from a variety of backgrounds to apply.
Serve as the creative lead on several accounts, creating/directing culturally relevant, industry-recognized work.
Develop, produce, and grow our following across social media platforms.
Manage and direct creatives assigned to teams under your supervision.
Collaborate regularly with strategy, account, and media to create smart integrated thinking.
Mentor and manage directors on all assigned accounts.
Curate and collaborate with creative vendors and production partners.
Stay current on the latest trends, talent, and competitive work.
Build, create, and maintain culture across the creative department and nonprofit.
